December 2008
1. During this Christmas
season take some time to get your focus off yourself and your circumstances
and just worship the Lord.
Luke 1:46 And
Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
Luke 1:47 And
my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
2. Jesus is the gift that perfectly fits the size of every
heart.
James 1:17 Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the
Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
3. Is there enough of Jesus
sticking out in your life to influence others to follow Him?
Matthew 5:16 Let
your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father which is in heaven.
4. As we
look toward the manager, let us make room for Him in our hearts.
Luke 2:7 And
she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes,
and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
5. Don’t leave Christ off
your gift giving list this Christmas…give Him the gift of time spent in His
presence!
Psalms 46:1a Be
still, and know that I am God:
6. A Christ-centered Christmas begins when we set our hearts on things
above…so do it!
Colossians 3:1 If
ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where
Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:2 Set
your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
7. This Christmas come to Christ with the faith of a little child.
Matthew 18:4 Whosoever
therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in
the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:5 And
whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
