January 2007
1.
In 2007, take
a firm stand for things that are right and keep your standards beyond
reproach. Romans 12:1 & 2:
I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.
2.
When you write
your list of goals or resolutions for this “New Year” put
“seek God’s Kingdom” at the top. Matthew 6:33:
But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these
things shall
be added unto you.
3.
No act of
kindness shown to others is insignificant in God’s eyes. Matthew
6:4:
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret
himself shall
reward thee openly.
4.
This year
appreciate the importance of both laughter and tears! Luke
6:21b: Blessed are ye
that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
5.
Prayers can’t
be answered unless they are prayed…so start praying now! Psalm 66:19:
But verily
God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
6.
Want to make a
difference in someone’s life? – Then develop a heart of compassion! Jude vs.
22:
And some
have compassion, making a difference.
7. In 2007 learn
contentment!
Philippians 4:11:
Not that I speak in
respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to
be content. |
