October 2008 #2
1. A
new path lies before us and none of us are sure where it will lead but one
thing we are assured of is that God not only walks beside us He also walks
before us.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine
heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct
thy paths.
2.
Failure to understand the true nature and philosophy of one’s enemy is
dangerous.
Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and
vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ.
3. The
decisions we make will either bring a blessing or a curse!
Deuteronomy 11:26 Behold, I set before you this
day a blessing and a curse;
Deuteronomy 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the
LORD your God, which I command you this day:
Deuteronomy 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments
of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this
day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
4. Be
sure that the crop you are sowing is the one you will be pleased to reap.
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap.
5.
Warnings are only useful if we heed them!
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now
it is high time to awake out of sleep,
for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my
spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have
stretched out my hand, and
no man regarded;
Proverbs 1:25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would
none of my reproof:
Proverbs 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer;
they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
Proverbs 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the
fear of the LORD:
Proverbs 1:30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my
reproof. |
