1. Blessings
and cursing shouldn’t both flow out of the same mouth.
James 3:10 -
Out of the same mouth
proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so be.
2.
Does your
lifestyle exemplify excess or moderation?
Philippians 4:5a -
Let your moderation be
known unto all men…
3.
Boasting
within your heart about how great a “Christian” your are, is a sure-fire
reason for falling flat on your face.
1 Corinthians 10:12 -
Wherefore let him that
thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
4.
The pathway
may be narrow, but God made sure there was room enough for two… Jesus and
you.
Amos 3:3 - Can two walk
together, except they be agreed?
5.
Are you
looking forward to the day you have to give an account to God for the way
you’ve lived your life?
Romans 14:12 - So then every one of us shall give account of
himself to God.
6.
Our
inconsistencies will soon give us away if we are not genuinely walking with
the Lord.
ST. Luke 11:35 -
Take heed therefore that
the light which is in thee be not darkness.
7. Adversity comes our way many times to demonstrate God’s
faithfulness to us and in turn to increase our own faith.
Psalm 119:67 -
Before I was afflicted I
went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
Psalm 119:71 -
It is good for me that I
have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
Psalm 119:75
- I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in
faithfulness has afflicted me. |
