We are told in scripture (Luke 14:28-30) to count the cost. Before you build or go to war, count the cost. Before you live your life without any consideration of God, count the cost. We are a nation that knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing. The temporal must be weighed against the eternal to see true wealth. God never wants us to get involved without counting the cost in light of wise eternal value. No commitment or sacrifice for the Kingdom of God is ever made in vain. Always make eternal investments with the expectation of rewards, which are out of this world. The bank of Heaven has never been robbed and serving God will always reap lasting results. Just remember to count the cost.
