Moment Messages
August 8, 2005
Our desire should be to never lose focus of the calling to magnify the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives and worship. Worship must be done in spirit and in truth. The Christian life is only effective when it is enveloped in integrity and surrender to the will of God. When Christ is not lifted up then all of the formalism, ceremony and gatherings are meaningless. Gods’ power and praise must prevail as a beaming light in these days of spiritual darkness and uncertainty.
Without proper scriptural leadership, churches can easily become social centers where folks meet to satisfy physical hunger instead of spiritual needs. Weekly they will gather for tea socials, ice cream fellowships and chicken dinners. Christians must be on alert, for these churches eventually become as weak as the tea, as cold as the ice cream and as dead as the chicken.
In Christ,
Bro. Donny
