Accountability at it’s
Best!
We
all need to stay true to the course by asking the tough questions. Here
are few reminders to use in building a strong accountability system with
a close friend or spouse.
Questions for establishing accountability
1.
Have
you been with a woman anywhere this past week (day) that might be seen
as compromising?
2. Have any of
your financial dealings lacked integrity?
3.
Have you exposed yourself to any sexually explicit material since
we last met? Books, magazines, TV, etc.
4. Have you spent
adequate time in Bible study and prayer?
5. Have you given
priority time to your family?
6. Have you
fulfilled the mandates of your calling in walking truthfully before God?
7.
Have you lied about any of the questions you have just been
asked?
Rules to Assure Integrity for men!
1. Never visit the
opposite sex alone at their home if they are alone!
2.
Never counsel the opposite sex alone in your office. Leave the
door open into the secretary’s office.
3.
Never go to lunch alone with a member of the opposite sex.
Period!
4.
Never discuss detailed sexual problems with the opposite sex
without this counseling being done in the presence of your wife.
5.
Do not playfully or good-naturally flirt with the opposite sex.
(Example: Saying something like, “Why don’t you leave that guy your
married to and come run away with me!” Satan will plant a seed in her
mind, which could bring destruction into her marriage.
Some Questions Every One Should Ask Themselves Often!
1. Is your
thought life pure?
2. Have you spent
time in the Word this past week?
3. Are you
mis-using your power or position?
4. Are you walking
in total obedience to God?
5. Have you lied
to yourself about any of the above questions?
If
you will apply these you will build a strong hedge of protection around
your marriage relationship.
