1.
Praise is the pause that refreshes our soul.
Psalms 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath
praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
2.
True blessings come only when we learn to give to others as freely as God
gives to us.
Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Proverbs 3:9 So shall thy barns be filled with
plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
3. Let
us not be forgetful to lift our voices in thanks to the “One” who provides
the food that nourishes our bodies.
Deuteronomy 8:10 When thou hast eaten and art
full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which he hath
given thee.
4. Live a
life that reflects to others the blessings the Lord has deposited in you.
Psalms 9:1 I will praise thee, O LORD,
with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works.
Psalms 9:11
Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion:
declare among the people his doings.
5. When
did you last take the time to just offer up praises to the Father instead of
constantly petitioning Him for favors?
Psalms 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily
loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
6.
Honoring God with thanksgiving is something that takes more time and effort
than one prayer at one meal, one day a year.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks:
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
7.
Whether in plenty or with little, be a cheerful giver.
II Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he
purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:
for God loveth a cheerful giver. |
